Will a person lose weight while training with vibration therapy?
Yes. Training with vibration therapy equipment has been shown to increase lean muscle mass, therefore increasing metabolism, which means burning more calories while exercising. The hormones produced with vibration therapy will have a significant influence on reducing fatty tissue. For optimum weight loss, it is recommended that vibration therapy be combined with a cardio workout.
Does vibration technology replace traditional exercise?
You are encouraged to supplement your vibration workout with a cardio workout.
Is vibration therapy safe?
Yes, Secure Health's oscillating vibration therapy technology is considered the safest form of vibration and is CSA approved. Our vibration equipment is safe for most people, although, like all new exercise programs, it's important to consult with your health care professional first. From the physically fit to the sedentary, almost everyone can enjoy the benefits of vibration therapy. If you are overweight, have aches, pains, stiffness or are recovering from an injury, you can still achieve benefits.
Is vibration therapy good for the heart?
Yes. Whole body vibration raises your heart rate slightly, along with blood oxygen levels. There is scientific data that shows overall heart rate will improve over time.
Is vibration therapy helpful for bone density?
Yes, whole body vibration therapy became popular due to its ability to prevent and reduce "space induced osteoporosis" in astronauts. There are studies to back up these claims.
Will vibration therapy technology reduce cellulite?
Absolutely. Studies have shown that cellulite can be significantly reduced through whole body vibration by improving the body's ability to drain toxins and lymphatic waste by promoting better circulation. This, in turn, reduces the undesirable swelling in those areas of the body affected by cellulite. Increased collagen also plays a role by improving the skin's tone and elasticity. Being properly hydrated will help this process.
What conditions are not recommended for vibration therapy?
Persons who are pregnant, have a pacemaker, who have migraines, eye injuries, gallstones, recent surgery or other conditions generally should not use vibration therapy. As a precaution, check with your health care provider first, as with beginning any exercise program.
Why not for people with gallstones?
Many of the contraindications for vibration therapy are the same as for general exercise. They are precautions rather than absolute restrictions. The experts believe vigorous exercise may trigger the movement of kidney or gallstones. Passing gallstones is common unless they are too large. Sometimes they will get stuck in the lower end of the bile duct, preventing the free flow of bile into the intestine. However, vibration technology is an excellent form of therapy to avoid the formation of kidney and gallstones with stimulation of the lymphatic system.

Will a person sweat during a vibration workout?
Yes. Any exercise or physical effort performed to cause a training effect will cause an increase in body temperature and metabolism. This in turn causes perspiration.
Will the vibration equipment cause structural damage to my building?
Secure Health's vibration equipment carries a maximum frequency of 43.3 Hz and will not damage anything structurally.
Is whole body vibration like a treadmill?
No. Oscillating vibration is a gentle workout that will not be hard on your joints. Instead of walking, you simply stand on a moveable vibrating plate that encourages muscle contractions using the body's own weight.
Can vibration therapy be done every day?
It's advisable to take at least a day or two off every week to let your muscles recover from the workouts. This would depend on the intensity and duration of your workouts and your individual health specifications.
Can vibration therapy equipment be used for more than ten minutes?
Yes, you can use the machine more than ten minutes a day, but it may be too much for some people because ten minutes on the machine is like an hour in the gym. To start, try ten minutes every second day to see results. If you are in a healthy state and your body is not fatigued, you may want to try more time on the machine. Many people use the machine twice a day: ten minutes in the morning and ten minutes in the evening. This is equivalent to two hours in the gym and it may be too much for some people. It's recommended to take a day or two off per week minimum to recover.
